Angelita E. Fisher - Partner
Angelita Fisher is a partner in the Employment and Discrimination Section of King & Ballow.
Ms. Fisher received her law degree cum laude from the Mississippi College School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of North Alabama. While in law school she was the co-winner of the Appellant Brief and Oral Argument competition. Ms. Fisher served as judicial clerk to the Honorable Glen H. Davidson, United States District Court, Northern District of Mississippi.
Ms. Fisher regularly counsels managers, supervisors, and property managers. She represents employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, state commissions and state and federal courts in employment matters including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and other state and federal employment laws. Ms. Fisher also represents property managers before the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as well as in state and federal courts in cases under the Fair Housing Act and similar state laws. Also she is a frequent speaker on all issues involving employment and fair housing law. She is the editor of King & Ballow's Fair Housing Law Comment.
Ms. Fisher is admitted to practice in Tennessee, Mississippi, Texas and Alabama.
