Angelita E. Fisher - Partner
Angelita E. Fisher is a Partner in the Discrimination Section of King & Ballow. Her practice focuses on representing and counseling companies in fair housing and employment law issues.
Ms. Fisher received her law degree cum laude from the Mississippi College School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of North Alabama. Prior to joining King & Ballow, she served as judicial clerk to the Honorable Glen H. Davidson, United States District Court, Northern District of Mississippi.
Ms. Ms. Fisher regularly counsels managers, supervisors and property managers. She represents property managers before the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, as well as in state and federal courts, in cases under the Fair Housing Act and similar state laws. She also represents employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, state commissions and state and federal courts in employment matters including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and other state and federal employment laws. Ms. Fisher is also a frequent speaker on issues involving employment and fair housing law and is the Editor of King & Ballow’s Fair Housing Law Comment newsletter.
Ms. Fisher is admitted to practice in Tennessee, Mississippi, Texas and Alabama.
