Howard M. Kastrinsky was born in Brooklyn, New York. He is admitted to the bar in North Carolina and Tennessee and before the U.S. Court of Appeals, First, Sixth and Seventh Circuits. Mr. Kastrinsky is a partner at King & Ballow and supervises the firm’s Employment and Discrimination Law Section. He received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his law degree from the University of North Carolina, where he graduated with honors. Mr. Kastrinsky was a member of the University of North Carolina Law Review and the Order of the Coif. He is a former trial attorney for the National Labor Relations Board. Mr. Kastrinsky speaks on issues such as employment discrimination, Family and Medical Leave Act, wage and hour law, union organizing, National Labor Relations Board practice and other employment law issues. He is the author of “Superseniority For Union Stewards Held a Violation of the National Labor Relations Act,” 55 University of North Carolina Law Review 289. He has also written several King & Ballow Comment Series publications, including Management’s Guide To Understanding Union Security Obligations, Management’s Guide to NLRB Election Procedures and The Family and Medical Leave Act. He is also a contributing author to the Developing Labor Law. He is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations. He is a lifetime honorary board member and an advisory board member of the Exchange Club Family Center, Inc. and was a member of the 2000, 2001 and 2002 Citizens Panels for a Community Report Card for the Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County Schools. Mr. Kastrinsky’s practice areas include Discrimination Law, Labor and Employment Law, Arbitrations and Alternate Dispute Resolution, NLRB Litigation, NLRB Election Campaigns and Negotiations. |
