Ashley M. Masters is a senior attorney in the Antitrust Section of King & Ballow. Ms. Masters received her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law, where she was the Recent Developments Editor for the Texas Journal of Business Law. She earned her undergraduate degree from Rice University with a major in Mathematical Economic Analysis and a dual major in Policy Studies. Before coming to King & Ballow, Ms. Masters was a staff attorney in the Anticompetitive Practices Division of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition. During her tenure at the FTC, Ashley participated in numerous nonpublic investigations implicating matters of competitively sensitive information exchange, monopolization via abuse of the standard setting process, and facilitation of price coordination. She was also counsel in the FTC’s successful litigation against the Kentucky Household Goods Carriers for price fixing. In 2008, Ashley lived in Tokyo, Japan, where she was a foreign lawyer with King & Ballow’s Meritas affiliate, Kojima Law Offices. She researched and presented conclusions regarding antitrust implications of various business arrangements, drafted contracts for multi-lateral negotiations, and worked with Japanese counsel and international clients to respond on matters of corporate, contracts, patent, copyright, tax, and immigration law. Ms. Masters is admitted to practice in Texas.
