R. Eddie Wayland is a partner and supervises the Litigation Section of King & Ballow. He has argued before the United States Supreme Court, and has litigated hundreds of cases to conclusion before judges, juries, arbitrators and administrative agencies in over 30 states throughout the country. Mr. Wayland concentrates his national practice in the representation of management in all areas of employment law and related litigation. He has been listed in the book The Best Lawyers in America for over 16 years, with listings in the areas of Labor and Employment Law, Transportation Law, and First Amendment Law. He has also been listed in every edition of the book Chambers USA America’s Leading Business Lawyers, in the Labor and Employment Law area. In addition, Mr. Wayland has been recognized as one of the top lawyers in the State of Tennessee by both Business Tennessee magazine and also by SuperLawyers magazine. He has been an “AV” rated lawyer in Martindale-Hubble for over 25 years. Mr. Wayland is a frequent speaker on employment law issues throughout the United States and also provides in-house training in these areas. He has twice been selected Chairman of the Labor and Employment Section of the Tennessee Bar Association and was founder and editor of the TBA Labor Letter. Among his other publications, Mr. Wayland is co-author for the text Americans With Disabilities Act Compliance Guidebook, and was a contributing author for the textThe Developing Labor Law. Mr. Wayland received his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law, graduating Order of the Coif, with high honors, and served as Articles Editor for theTennessee Law Review. Mr. Wayland is admitted to the Tennessee Bar and before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Courts of Appeals, for the Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Ninth Circuits. His practice areas include State and Federal Court Litigation, Employment Law, Discrimination Law, Labor Law, Transportation Law, First Amendment, Construction, Entertainment, NLRB Litigation, NLRB Election Campaigns, Wage and Hour Law, and Arbitration and Alternate Dispute Resolution. |
