Alan
L. Marx is a partner in the Antitrust Section. Mr. Marx was previously
Special Litigation Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General in charge of
the Antitrust division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington,
D.C., and Chief of the General Litigation Section of the Antitrust
division. He worked for the National Commission for Review of Antitrust
Laws and Procedures, and served on the Freedom of Information Appeals Unit
of the Office of the Deputy Attorney General and the Capper-Volstead Study Committee
of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Mr. Marx is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Vanderbilt University School of
Law, teaching antitrust law. He is a former chair of the Antitrust and
Business Regulation Section of the Tennessee Bar Association, and is past
president of the Nashville Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
Mr. Marx received a B.A. from Washington
and Lee University
and an M.A. in Economics and a Juris Doctor from Columbia University.
