Benjamin Pickens is an attorney in the Litigation Section.
Before joining
King & Ballow, Mr. Pickens was an active duty Lieutenant in the United States
Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps. During his time in the
Navy, Mr. Pickens was stationed in Maine, Mississippi, Washington,
and Italy,
and gained extensive litigation experience as a criminal defense attorney
and a federal prosecutor. Mr. Pickens also served as the lead counsel for
the third largest naval base in the United
States and as the Navy Foreign Criminal Jurisdiction
Officer for the country of Italy.
Mr. Pickens
received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham
and his law degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he graduated
cum laude.
He is admitted to
practice in Wisconsin and Tennessee.
Certifications
of Specialization are available to Tennessee lawyers in all areas of
