Douglas R. Pierce is a partner in the
Litigation Section. Mr. Pierce earned his law degree from the University of Tennessee with honors. While
attending the University, he was an Assistant Editor and Associate Editor
of the Tennessee Law Review.
Mr. Pierce formerly served as law clerk to the Honorable Robert L. Taylor
of the U.S. District
Court of the Eastern District of Tennessee.
He has been General Counsel to the Tennessee
Association of Broadcasters since 1988, and General Counsel to the Nashville Advertising
Federation since 1991. He is listed
in the book The Best
Lawyers in America in
the area of First Amendment.
Mr. Pierce is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee and American Bar
Associations, and the ABA's
Litigation Section and its Forum on Communications Law.
