David
R. Trainor is an attorney in the Litigation Section.
Mr.
Trainor received his Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law
in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1996. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Economics and International Studies from Rhodes
College, Memphis, Tennessee.
Prior
to moving to Tennessee,
Mr. Trainor was a founding member of an Atlanta-based law firm where he maintained
a civil litigation practice. He has
represented hundreds of clients before state and federal courts as well as
administrative tribunals and has acted as sole or lead counsel in a number
of judge and jury trials.
Mr.
Trainor is presently a Captain in the Army Reserve JAG Corps. He was previously stationed with Army
Forces Command at Fort
McPherson where he
spent two years as prosecuting counsel in detainee related matters. Among other awards for excellence, he has
received the Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Achievement Medal for
superior performance of his duties.
Mr.
Trainor is a member of the Georgia
bar and the Tennessee Bar. He is admitted to practice before all Georgia and Tennessee
state courts, the United States
District Courts for the northern and middle districts of Georgia,
the northern district of Florida, and the middle district of
Tennessee. He has also been admitted
to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh and Sixth Judicial
Circuits as well as the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
Certifications of Specialization are available to Tennessee lawyers in
all areas of practice relating to or included in the areas of Civil Trial,
Criminal Trial, Business Bankruptcy, Consumer Bankruptcy, Creditor's
Rights, Medical Malpractice, Legal Malpractice, Accounting Malpractice,
