In the
rapidly evolving field of equal employment opportunity law, attorneys in
the Discrimination Law Section represent management clients before the
federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), state commissions,
and state and federal courts in matters involving Title VII, the Equal Pay
Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other
federal and state laws. Our attorneys advise clients on compliance with
affirmative action obligations, recordkeeping requirements, and the
development of internal equal employment opportunity policies.
"Preventive maintenance" training programs in the area of equal
employment opportunity comprise an integral part of the firm's practice.
Attorneys in the Discrimination Law Section also assist clients by
reviewing and performing audits of existing and proposed policies and practices,
such as policies needed to comply with the ADA, to ensure compliance with applicable
laws, and to minimize the chances of costly litigation.
