Tax Section offers a broad spectrum of services to individuals,
partnerships, corporations (public, closely held, and professional), and
other business entities. Our attorneys advise individual and business
clients regarding income tax, employee benefits, estate planning and corporate
tax issues. They prepare necessary documents, assist clients in tax
controversies, and develop and administer compensation and benefit programs
for executives and employees (with special emphasis on retirement plans).
King & Ballow works with clients to minimize income, estate, and gift
taxes, administers estates, and prepares advice for clients regarding the
tax treatment of incorporations, reorganizations, liquidations,
acquisitions and dispositions, partnership formation and operation, and
tax-exempt organization formation and administration.
The Tax Section, with the Antitrust Section,
advises clients on corporate and securities law issues. Our corporate practice includes the formation
and dissolution of corporations, limited liability companies (taxed as
corporations or as partnerships), partnerships, and joint ventures. King
& Ballow represents clients in asset and stock purchases and sales,
mergers and acquisitions, and compliance with securities laws. Our
attorneys prepare and review corporate minutes, advise corporate officers
and directors, and prepare corporate documents for filing with federal,
state, and local governments.
