DV APPLICATION PERIOD: The Diversity Visa (DV) lottery is an annual lottery that is run by the U.S. Department of State. It offers up to 55,000 permanent resident visas each year to randomly selected applicants from eligible countries. To enter, an applicant must meet certain requirements.
